Appreciation post: that $38 fuel filter housing gasket kit that ended a 6 month leak
I had a 6.7 Cummins in an F250 that kept leaving a small puddle on the driveway in Kennewick every morning. I kept thinking it was the filter cap o-ring, so I swapped those twice over about 4 months. Then a guy at the parts counter showed me the housing itself warps and the drain valve on the bottom starts seeping. I put a $38 gasket kit and a new drain valve in it 3 weeks ago and there hasn't been one drop since. Anybody else find the housing drains cause more of these leaks than the o-rings everyone blames?
