Question about that 3/4 inch impact I almost didn't purchase
A guy at the parts counter in Modesto kept pushing a house brand 3/4 inch impact on me for $180, and I figured it was junk since my truck brand gun cost 3 times that. I finally grabbed one for a stubborn lug on a grain trailer because I didn't want to drag out the big air setup, and it spun that nut off in about 4 seconds. Then it survived 2 months of daily use on brake jobs and a seized yoke bolt that my old gun couldn't touch. The kicker is mine has more torque on paper and still feels cheaper in the hand, but the thing just works. Now I'm second guessing every tool I paid premium for. Has anyone run one of these house brand impacts past a year without the trigger getting mushy?
