My old art teacher in Tucson told me to stop zooming in past 200%, and after 6 months I finally get it
Back in March I was working on a digital portrait for a gallery submission and kept zooming to 800% to fix tiny pixels nobody would ever see. My old art teacher from Pima Community College looked at my file and said "you're painting for the zoom tool, not for people." I ignored her for 3 more pieces, then missed my deadline because I spent 9 hours on a 20 pixel area near the ear. Last week I set my zoom limit to 200% and finished two pieces in one weekend, and they honestly look better. How far do you all zoom in before you call a piece done?
