Warning: saving as JPG killed my layer files and I lost 6 hours of work on a piece for the Riverside gallery show
I used to flatten and save everything as JPG because PNG files were crashing my old laptop, and last Thursday it bit me hard when I needed to move one group of trees in a forest scene. Tried keeping a layered PSD plus a JPG preview instead, and it saved me twice already this month. If you're on Photoshop or Krita, just do the PSD, the file size scared me for way too long. Anyone got a good free converter for batch exporting layered files without losing the alpha channel?
