A 3am email purge taught me my 'read later' folder was a lie

Scrolled through 4,000 saved articles last night and realized I'd only opened 12 of them since January, so I deleted the whole folder and now I'm wondering, has anyone else found that their saving habit is just digital hoarding?

Realized I was doing the same thing with my browser bookmarks a few months back. Had hundreds of tabs and links saved for "later" that I never touched, just felt safer having them around. Deleting them was weirdly freeing, like clearing out a closet full of clothes that don't fit anymore. Now I just save things if I'm going to read them that same week, otherwise it's gone.
