I finally deleted my password manager after it locked me out for the 4th time

Last Thursday I needed my insurance login to file a claim, and the password manager kept spinning on a sync error. After 20 minutes of resetting, it gave me a recovery code I never wrote down. I had to call my wife to dig through her old emails for the backup. That was the breaking point after 3 other lockouts over the past year. I printed a paper list of my 12 most used passwords, stuck it in a drawer, and deleted the app. It feels backwards, but the paper has been more reliable. Has anyone else ditched their vault for something dumber and it actually worked?
