Sat in a laundromat on 9th St for an hour and counted 14 people staring at phones
I forgot my book at home last Tuesday so I had nothing to do but watch the room while my clothes spun. In 60 minutes, 14 out of 16 people there never once looked up from a screen, even the guy whose dryer buzzed twice. What got me was a dad with his kid, both of them on separate phones the whole time, not saying a word to each other. I've been leaving my phone in the car on purpose since then and my laundry trips feel half as long. Does anyone here have a spot in their week where they leave the phone behind completely?
