Shelf brackets hidden by the frame vs visible ones, which side are you on?
I was installing a monitor shelf last week and the screw holes didn't line up, so I had to flip the brackets to the outside and it looked totally different. Now I'm torn between hiding the hardware for a clean look or leaving it visible for easier adjustments later. Anyone else hit this fork in the road and what did you pick?
I read somewhere that hidden brackets actually make the shelf feel more like part of the wall, which looks nicer but is a pain if you ever need to tweak the height. Your flip to the outside is honestly what most people do when the holes don't line up, so you're not alone there. Visible brackets can look kind of industrial if you style around them, just depends on the room I guess.
