One guy's bench top taught me more than any video
Tbh, I was helping a buddy move his shop last month and his workbench was just a solid core door on two file cabinets, with a 2x4 lip screwed to the front. He said 'why pay for drawers when I already own the cabinets' and honestly that hit me, he probably saved $300 and has better storage than my fancy setup. Anyone else running a simple door top instead of buying a kit?

Read somewhere that solid core doors are basically flat out perfect for workbenches.
