Overheard a GC say drawings are just suggestions, had to walk away from the trailer in Knoxville

I was rolling up prints for a storefront remodel when the GC told his crew not to worry about matching my dimensions, said they'd 'make it work in the field', so has anyone else dealt with contractors who treat your CAD work like a rough sketch?
