Got a 4 inch chunk of rebar wrapped around my cutterhead on the Mississippi River job last Tuesday
Had to shut down for 6 hours to dive down and cut it free with a torch, cost me a full day of production and my helper almost dropped the cutting rig on me, has anyone else had to deal with surprise junk like that ruining your schedule?

Wait... your helper almost dropped the cutting rig on you while you were down there cutting that rebar off? That's insane, man. I can't believe you had to dive into the Mississippi River with a torch while somebody's messing around with the rigging above you. That sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen, especially with currents and zero visibility down there. I've seen guys get banged up from dropped tools on deck, but having a whole cutting rig come down on you is a whole different level of scary. How did you even keep your cool enough to finish the job after that close call?

Did you say anything to the guy afterward or just let it slide?
