Appreciation post: that $40 thermal imager I got on sale
I was chasing a weird voltage drop in a 90s house and the thing found a hot splice inside a wall in about two minutes. Saved me half a day of fishing wires and guessing. What's the best tool purchase you've made under a hundred bucks?
$1200 for a new heater core? Man, that's steep. I had to replace one in my old F-150 a few years back and it was almost $900 with labor. Thing is, the shop said the dash has to come out almost completely on some trucks. That's a whole day's work at least. For $1200 you could buy a damn good space heater and a heavy coat and still have money left over.
