Heads up about light pollution at Cherry Springs State Park

Agreed with @ninabutler, the park manager is quick to fix stuff like this.

Had a client at a Dearborn coffee shop last week point out I was rambling instead of listening

The 17 second thing is brutal. I probably interrupt after like 10.

That time a buyback phone just stopped working 2 months in

Did you buy it off Facebook Marketplace or one of those reseller sites? @wright.kevin is right about the bootloader issue - Ive seen this pattern way too often with cheap phones. Its like buying a used car that was in a flood and they just cleaned up the seats, you know? These carrier buyback units get passed around so much that nobody really knows what happened to them before. The whole system is broken when people can flip broken phones as "clean" and theres zero protection for the buyer. This is just how cheap electronics work now - you save 50 bucks upfront but end up paying more in frustration when it dies a few months later.

I know everyone loves the 4 foot lift for ceilings, but I switched back to a 6 foot and my shoulders are thanking me.

Did you try a neutral grip bar? That fixed the shoulder pinch for me.

Unpopular opinion: my $60 fountain pen was a complete waste

Fancy stuff just makes simple things feel complicated" - yep, that's about right. Dropped sixty bucks on a pen that needs its own maintenance schedule like a lawnmower, meanwhile a Bic from the checkout aisle just works. Sounds like you bought a hobby you didn't sign up for. My buddy spent like forty on some fancy fountain pen and now he's got a mini chemistry set on his desk just to keep it from drying out. Hard pass from me, I'll stick with the clicky pens that don't require a weekend workshop to use.
