I found out it's because someone wired the door sensor to an old nature sounds cassette player.

That fridge is basically a museum piece with a power cord. Bet it makes more noise than a busy kitchen during dinner. You start to wonder if the hum is the motor or the ghosts of outdated warranties. Pretty sure my grandpa had the same model, and he bought it new. When does old tech stop being charming and just become a loud box of worry?
