Tried reusing a backup battery from a 3T and nearly cooked the controller board

Swapped an old 48v battery into a 3T car setup at a job site in Akron last week, and the BMS mismatch caused a voltage spike that fried the main relay - so has anyone else dealt with compatibility issues mixing old backup batteries with newer controllers?

Tried that once too, now I keep a fire extinguisher in the garage.

Fair point but for most people a small extinguisher makes sense for kitchen grease fires or electrical stuff. The risk is low but the damage if it happens is huge. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
