Last week a client asked if I could 'fix' her skin in one session like she saw on TikTok

I had to explain that no peel or mask is gonna undo years of sun damage in 45 minutes, and she looked at me like I was lying. Has anyone else had people expect instant miracle results from a single facial?

Honestly I kind of get where she's coming from. Not that she's right but social media has been flooding people with these dramatic before and after videos where they claim one product did everything. I had a friend who swore her under eye bags disappeared after using a certain roller for three days. It's not that we're lying exactly it's just that real skin takes time to show changes. A peel can make your face feel smooth for a day or two but sun damage? That's years of cell memory. You're not wrong to set expectations but I can see why someone who only watches 30 second clips might think you're holding out on them.
