My $200 splurge on a proper mag lamp was the best thing I ever did
I mean, I worked for years with this cheap little clip-on light from a hardware store. It was fine, I guess, but I was always squinting and moving it around. Last month, I finally bit the bullet and got a real esthetician's mag lamp with the swing arm and the bright, cool white light. It was about $200, which felt like a lot for a light. But wow, the difference is crazy. I can see every tiny hair and every little bit of texture so clearly now. It's made my waxing way more precise and my extractions are cleaner because I can actually see what I'm doing. I feel like I'm doing better work and my clients have noticed too. Has anyone else made a small upgrade that ended up being a huge help?

Wait you were doing extractions with a clip-on light? That's wild.

Why is that wild? A clip light gets the job done just fine if you aim it right. It's bright, it's cheap, and it points where you need it. People act like you need some fancy setup but basic tools work for basic tasks. What makes you think it's such a bad idea?
