Unpopular opinion: I think we're all over-scrubbing during extractions

I've been at this for about five years now, and I keep seeing other estheticians press way too hard on the skin during manual extractions. I watched a colleague in a Denver spa work on a client's nose for a full ten minutes, leaving it red and angry. My own mentor taught me that if a clog doesn't release after two gentle attempts, you move on. Forcing it just causes broken capillaries and trauma that sets back the healing process. I've had clients come to me after treatments elsewhere with damage that takes weeks to calm down. It feels like some people think more pressure equals better results, but it's just causing harm. Has anyone else shifted to a much lighter touch and seen better long-term skin health?

Honestly, I get way better results when I clear it all out.

Actually, my phone runs slower if I clear the cache too often.

Funny how @lindaburns, sometimes trying to fix things just makes them work harder.
