inOur club read 'The Road' and everyone keeps saying the man dies at the end
Wait, what? I just read it last week and I totally disagree. The book says "he slept" and then cuts to the boy finding the new family. It never says he died. To me, that's the whole point, like @nancy351 might get, it's left open. If he was dead, the boy would have to deal with the body right there. The hope comes from the boy moving on while maybe the dad finally gets some real rest. Saying he for sure dies makes it too simple.

inSpent $800 on a fancy drawer slide jig and it's been a total waste
My old router was off by a solid 3mm until I redid the fence alignment. That quarter inch is definitely in the setup somewhere. You ever get it dialed in perfectly?

inBeen grading with my bucket curled for years until a new guy pointed it out
Wait, @derek_ramirez, you think a smooth finish is just a smooth finish?

inI thought those magnetic socket holders were just a gimmick for the garage guys.
I get what you mean @victor_ward, but I've found those magnetic holders just create new problems. They drop stuff when you bump them and collect metal shavings. A simple hook or a strip of Velcro tape is way more reliable for holding tools.

inShoutout to a buddy for the insight on flickering displays
It's wild how our brains go straight to the hardest fix first... we'll tear apart a whole wiring loom before checking if a door is open. That canopy seal thing proves how sensors live in the real world, not just on the schematics. A lot of new systems are so smart they're dumb, reacting to every little change in light or temp. Makes you wonder how many weird faults are just the plane's surroundings tricking it. Good lesson to just walk around the thing with fresh eyes before diving into the deep end.
