Rant: My neighbor saw me using a butter knife on a stripped screw and gave me a look.

He said 'That's a $5 problem you're turning into a $50 one,' and loaned me his actual screw extractor set. Anyone have a good brand for a basic home toolkit that won't break the bank?

What did you end up buying? I was the same way, always trying to force it with the wrong tool. Having the right one for the job is a total game changer.

Got the Milwaukee M12 stubby impact wrench. It gets into tight spots my old one couldn't. Makes the whole job way less frustrating.
