Pro tip: I thought those cheap post hole diggers from Harbor Freight were junk.

Bought one for a small job in Cincinnati last month. Figured it would break fast. Dug 12 holes in heavy clay, no problem. The handle didn't even wobble. Now I keep it on the truck as a backup. Anyone else been surprised by a tool they thought would fail?

Yeah, I grabbed their cheapest angle grinder expecting sparks... thing's still running after three years of abuse.

Check the brushes if it ever starts getting weak or sparking inside. Had one last five years just by swapping those out. Keep the air vents clean from dust too. That cheap motor doesn't like to overheat. Honestly, sometimes the basic ones just won't die.

Wait, so you're saying the cheap ones actually last?
