My sauerkraut experiment turned into a science fair volcano
Last month I tried a new recipe and packed the jar way too tight. It sat for three days before the lid blew off and shot shredded cabbage all over my kitchen ceiling. Anyone know a good way to calculate headspace for a 2-liter jar?

Took a bunch of photos with my phone's flash on from every corner. The bright light really showed the texture and any cracks. I stood on a chair to get straight-on shots, not just angled ones from the floor. That gave a much clearer view of the whole situation.
