PSA: My ceiling fan was shaking so bad I thought it would fly off!

I had this bad habit of letting small things like loose screws go unchecked for way too long. Finally, I started doing a quick tighten on all fan blades every few months with just a basic screwdriver. The shaking stopped completely and it runs smooth and quiet now. It's a tiny task that prevents a huge headache later.

Guess your fan was just being dramatic.

Totally get that, my ceiling fan was doing the same weird wobble last summer. Turns out one blade was just slightly looser than the others after years of use. Five minutes with the same screwdriver you mentioned and it was like a new fan. Felt pretty silly for putting up with the noise for so long. Really is one of those simple fixes that saves you from a bigger problem down the road.

Fan wobble is just laziness, read that somewhere, @the_mark.
