I used to think the best stuff was gone by 9 AM, but showing up at noon last Saturday got me a $20 vintage typewriter.
The early crowd at the county fairgrounds market seems to grab all the obvious furniture, leaving the weird, cool items for us latecomers who dig through the boxes they leave behind.

My buddy found a whole box of old sci-fi paperbacks under a table once. The seller was packing up and just gave them to him for five bucks. Had some real first edition gems in there. The early people were all fighting over a lamp ten feet away. Sometimes the good stuff is just hidden in plain sight.

Found a mint condition vintage toolbox at a yard sale last year for ten bucks. Everyone else was looking at the power tools.
