Most folks swear by morning flea market runs, but I stopped that and my evening trips are GOLD.

You know what I've noticed... the evening light changes how stuff looks. That ugly vase in the sun might actually have a cool glaze when the sun's going down. I almost passed on a set of chairs because they seemed dull, but under the string lights they had this warm glow... ended up being solid oak. Makes you see things differently, you know?

Always figured the early birds got the good stuff... until I saw an old brass bowl under those warm evening lights. The whole thing just looked deeper, way more interesting than it would have at noon. Totally changed how I look for things now.

Evening trips really are gold, I've found the same thing. The crowds thin out around six, and some dealers just want to clear stock before packing up. I got a perfect vintage lamp last week for half the morning's price because the seller didn't want to load it back in the truck.
