Okay so I started sending a 'project recap' email after every single job

I mean, I was getting ghosted after finishing work for new clients, like three times in a row. So after my last logo design gig, I sent a quick email with the final files, a link to their brand guide on Google Drive, and a line saying 'Let me know if you need anything else in the next 30 days'. Got a reply in an hour asking about business card design. Has anyone else tried something like this to keep the conversation going?

That's such a smart move! I started adding a line asking for a quick testimonial if they're happy with the work. It often turns into them bringing up the next small thing they need.

Totally agree about that line turning into more work. I started doing the same and it's crazy how often a "quick testimonial" turns into them remembering another task.

My buddy Mark started doing this same thing last month. He told me at first he felt weird about it, like he was being pushy or something. But it really does work though, you just gotta get used to that little awkward moment. The funny part is most people don't even notice the tiny extra ask because they're already thinking about what else they need from you. It's almost like a habit now for some of my regular customers, they just automatically start listing stuff off after I finish a job.
