Saw a stat that 40% of freelancers don't have a contract for jobs under $500

Found it in a survey report from a freelance union site. How do you handle small gigs to keep safe?

Contracts for tiny jobs just slow everything down. If a client stiffs you on a few hundred bucks, chasing them legally costs more than it's worth. I'd rather trust my gut on a quick vibe check and move fast.
