Vent: I bought a $20 'miracle' avocado saver that was just a plastic cup with a lid
Saw it online and thought it would keep my guacamole from browning for days, but it just turned into a weird, slimy green soup after one night. What's the actual best way to keep leftover avocado fresh without buying junk?

Okay but "museum piece" is kind of right though. It's a fruit, it's gonna go bad. I've just accepted that leftover avocado turns brown and the texture gets weird. What are we really saving here, a dollar's worth of guac? Just make less next time or eat it all. Is perfect green avocado really worth this much stress?

Actually, a little lemon juice and plastic wrap right on the surface works wonders for me.
