Unpopular opinion: Free review units make it hard to stay honest.
I returned a speaker I liked because the company expected a five-star rating in exchange.

Man, I feel that. I'd probably give a five-star review to a free bag of chips if they asked nicely enough.

Watched my buddy get a free mattress to try out last year. He said it was just okay, kinda firm for his back. Then the company started emailing him every other day asking when the five star review was coming. He finally changed his three star rating to four just to make them stop. Felt bad because he knew his first review was the real one.
