I was installing a decorative glass panel in a cafe, and this little girl pointed at it with a big smile. Her mom told me she wants to be a glazier now, which totally made my day. Do you ever get surprised by who notices your work?

Kids change their minds every five minutes, so that career choice probably won't last. Sometimes the praise feels nice but it doesn't really mean much coming from someone who doesn't understand the work. They might think it's cool today and forget it tomorrow, so why get so excited about it?
