Had a customer in Tacoma tell me my caulk line on their shower door was the cleanest they'd ever seen. Felt good after a long week.

Caulk is actually spelled with a C, not a K. It's one of those trade words that always trips people up. Getting a compliment on the line work is the real prize though, that stuff is harder than it looks. A clean bead makes the whole job look pro.

Absolutely! I've seen that spelling mix-up more times than I can count. A smooth bead really does separate the weekend warriors from the pros. It's all about the right pressure and a steady hand.

Found that using a small wet sponge to wipe the excess as i go makes a huge difference. Took me a few jobs to realize i was making it harder by waiting for it to dry. Also switched to a caulk smoother tool instead of my finger, way cleaner finish with less waste.
