Noticed a big problem with how we toss laminated glass
The plastic middle layer doesn't recycle well and ends up in landfills. Let's start stripping it to cut down on waste.

Windshield glass isn't the only thing with hidden plastic. This happens all the time with regular products. Coffee cups have a plastic layer inside that ruins recycling. Snack bags mix foil and plastic so they don't get recycled. It's like companies make things to be used once and thrown out. We should ask for stuff that can be pulled apart and recycled.

I just looked it up and a typical car windshield has over a pound of that plastic interlayer. That's insane to think about all that plastic just getting buried forever when the glass gets thrown out.
