Just realized how much I was messing up by selling on dips
I gotta warn you guys, I used to be that person who sold stocks as soon as they started dropping. Thought I was being smart and cutting losses. But looking back, I missed so many recoveries. For example, I sold my shares in a green energy ETF after a bad week, and it doubled in six months. Now I've stopped that habit and just hold through the ups and downs. My account is way healthier, and I sleep better at night. If you're new, don't make the same mistake. Stick to your strategy and avoid emotional trades.

Warren Buffett always says his favorite holding period is forever, which makes sense now.

But how many investors actually have that mindset? Most people get antsy and sell at the first sign of trouble. Buffett's whole thing is picking companies so solid you never need to sell them.

Did you actually sell your green energy ETF after just one bad week? That's rough, but I guess it happens. lopez.michael is right about most people getting antsy and selling too fast. Buffett's forever hold idea sounds good until your portfolio turns red. Still, doubling in six months? Ouch.
