inPSA: I just found out how much coolant flow really matters for tool life
Coolant pressure matters just as much as flow. High flow with low pressure won't clear chips from deep pockets. The stream needs to hit the cut. Seen tools fail because the coolant just washed over the top of the work. It's not just about turning the pump up. You need to check the nozzle position and pressure gauge. A lot of older machines have weak pumps that can't push enough.

inRant: A 2006 Ford Escape blend door actuator took me three hours
Honestly, I've always found those to be a pretty straightforward job. Never had to pull a whole dash for one.

inFinally got my brother to see the flat earth stuff is nonsense
My cousin was convinced the moon landing was fake because of the flag waving. I asked him if he ever saw a flag on a pole in his own yard on a windy day, does it look like it's in space? He went quiet for a minute. How much time do people spend on this stuff anyway, is it really worth the headache?

inMy old trowel handle split right in half during a dig in Tucson last month.
Pathenderson is right, that sound is the worst, but my Marshalltown has never let me down in hard dirt.

inSpent a week trying to get a clean seal on a simple 8-inch bubble
Read a forum post once where someone said their kiln manual was basically useless for actual glass work. They had to ignore the factory settings and just learn by cracking a bunch of pieces.
