inPSA: My neighbor's comment about his coop setup made me pause
Honestly that's a huge thing with so much stuff, we over-engineer the wrong part. We put all our effort into the fancy coop door when the real weak spot is the run fence. It's like putting a vault door on a shed with cardboard walls. Makes you step back and look at your whole setup again.

inWasted a whole morning on a 'universal' serpentine belt tool
Yeah, exactly... @kevinc84 gets it. It's just part of the deal, you know? You're gonna lose some time here and there.

inMy compost bin started leaking in my kitchen last Tuesday
Wait you had a compost bin inside your actual kitchen? That's a brave move right there. The liquid mess sounds like a total nightmare to clean up. Maybe try a container with a solid bottom and a lid next time.

inI keep seeing people call any old stone tool a 'hand axe' and it drives me nuts
Just ask them to point to the actual artifact next time.

inSaw a trick for stubborn injector lines at a shop in Boise
That Cat 3406 is a perfect example. @phoenix_wells, I'm curious about the oil choice. On a really seized fuel line fitting, would you still reach for standard penetrating oil first, or do you go straight for something like a 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid? I've seen guys swear by the homemade mix, but I wonder if the heat changes which one works best.
