Hot take: My air fryer is the reason I finally eat vegetables
I never liked veggies much because they always came out soggy when I steamed them. Then I got an air fryer and tried tossing broccoli with a little olive oil and garlic powder. It cooks fast and gets perfectly crispy edges. Now I have a side of air fried veggies with every dinner without thinking twice. This small shift made my meals feel more balanced and my digestion has improved a lot. I used to skip greens, but now I look forward to them. It's a simple trick that stuck because it's so easy. My energy feels more steady throughout the day too.

That crispy edge thing is so real. I found that shaking the basket halfway through helps a ton (seriously, game changer). Also, try adding a sprinkle of parmesan at the end for extra flavor.

Honestly, the crispy edges thing is exactly why I started eating more veggies too. I do brussels sprouts in mine with just salt and pepper, and they come out so good I snack on them straight from the basket. Tbh, it made me realize I just don't like mushy vegetables, and the air fryer fixes that completely. Now I keep a bag of frozen cauliflower in the freezer just for quick air fryer sides.

Lee_carr53's shake-the-basket trick is smart. It actually reminded me of when I first tried making roasted chickpeas in the oven. I kept forgetting to shake the pan, so half would be burnt and half still soft. Once I started setting a phone timer to remind me, they came out perfectly crispy every time.
