inQuestion about using the wrong glass for high wind zones
We replaced all our windows in Tampa after a near miss with a patio door. The installer used laminated glass with a thick plastic layer in the middle. It cost more upfront, but that glass just flexes instead of shattering into a million pieces. It's been through three storm seasons now without a single crack.

inHeard a guy at the farmers market say his sauerkraut was too salty after only 2 days, made me check my own brine math
Man, that's everywhere now. People want instant results with zero patience for the actual process. Saw it with sourdough starters last year, everyone giving up after three days.

inMy school's new 'AI tutor' system is making me want to scream
Yeah, the "check a box" thing is so real. Our restaurant got this new scheduling app that was supposed to auto-fill shifts based on "employee preferences." It kept putting the guy who closes Tuesday nights on Sunday morning opens because he once picked up a single Sunday shift six months ago. We just gave up and went back to the paper chart.

inMy compost bin used to smell like a forgotten gym bag after just 2 days, but adding a handful of shredded paper with each layer of scraps has kept it odor-free for a full week now.
Dry leaves are my go-to for that.
