Shoutout to the $3 steaming rack that fixed my leftover pizza problem
I used to microwave cold pizza and get soggy cardboard, or reheat it in the oven for 15 minutes and burn the cheese. Last Tuesday I put a splash of water in the air fryer basket, set the slices on a little rack so they don't touch the bottom, and ran it at 320 for 4 minutes. The crust came out crisp and the cheese was actually melted, so what else am I missing with this thing?
Wait, you can just put water in an air fryer? I always figured that would wreck it or make everything steam up and get soft. I was dead set against reheating pizza in there because my first try turned the crust into a rock, but the water trick and the little rack changes everything. My old way was the toaster oven and it never got the middle hot without drying out the edges. So you run it at 320 for 4 minutes, huh, do you flip the slices halfway or just let them sit?
