Hot take: A cabin pressure leak made me rethink seal checks

We used to just eyeball seals during quick turnarounds. One slow leak during a test showed me the risk. Now I take my time with each one, and it's avoided a lot of trouble.

See this same idea with little things at home all the time. Like ignoring that tiny drip under the sink because it's just a drop (until the cabinet floor rots out). Your story about the seal is that moment where a small fix prevents a huge, messy problem later on. It makes me want to be better about those minor warnings.

Honestly this is so true, I had that exact thing happen with a weird noise my car made last year. It was just a little click when I turned, nothing major, so I kept putting off taking it in. Fast forward three months and I'm stuck on the highway with a tow truck because the whole wheel bearing gave out. Cost me over a grand when a fifty dollar fix earlier would've done it. Now every little sound or drip gets my full attention right away. It really changes how you deal with stuff when you learn that lesson the hard way.

Skip the small stuff and you'll regret it big time. @moore.ruby's sink story proves the point.
