A cop in Tulsa asked me one question about my panel installs and I changed my whole approach
I used to drill the panel can into the stud and call it done, takes 4 screws and about 3 minutes. Then a police officer in Tulsa who does alarm response on the side asked me one thing while we were both getting coffee at a QuikTrip on 11th: "How long does it take a guy to rip that off the wall?" I didn't have an answer. He pulled up a bodycam clip from a break-in where the whole can came off in under 20 seconds with a flat bar. Since then I bolt through the back of the can into a 2x4 block I screw between studs, and I use tamper screws on the lid. Yeah it adds maybe 10 minutes per panel, but I sleep better. Any of you guys doing blocking behind cans or am I late to this?

That 20 second flat bar clip would've been me standing there with my drill going "well huh." I never thought about blocking behind the can but you're right, 10 extra minutes beats a panel sitting on the floor.
