Rant: I used to think a 30-second walk test was good enough for a new install
Honestly, I had a job in a split-level house last year where the garage sensor kept giving false alarms after I left. Tbh, I went back and did a full 2-minute test with the system armed and found the door was flexing just enough in the wind to break the contact. Ngl, how long do you guys actually test a new contact before you call it good?

Yeah, been there. That false alarm call back is the worst feeling. I rushed jobs for years and paid for it later. Now I just stand there like an idiot for a full two minutes, watching the door. It feels long but it saves so much headache. That extra minute proves the install under real conditions.
