That Wednesday where every panel fought me on the same zone

Last month I had a service call in Tacoma where three different panels, all from different jobs, threw the same trouble code on zone 4. We chased a bad resistor, then a loose splice, then it turned out the customer's cat had chewed through the wire behind the baseboard. Total time was about 5 hours for what should've been a 45 minute fix. Anyone else run into weird repeat faults like that where the cause was something you never expect?

Bet that cat had the best timing too, right when you least needed the headache. Could've been worse though, at least it wasn't a mouse nest in the panel or some weird ground loop that only shows up when it rains.
