Tried wireless sensors for 3 months and they actually held up in a Phoenix attic

I've always been a hardwired guy, thought wireless was just for DIYers. But a customer in Phoenix had a house with zero attic access and wanted a full system. I put in some 2GIG sensors back in August. That attic hits 140 degrees easy. I just checked them last week and all 9 sensors still had 80% battery and zero false alarms. Has anyone else had wireless stuff surprise them on a tough install?

Wait, 80% battery after 140 degrees? That's wild.

You saying "80% battery after 140 degrees" is what gets me, @the_sam. I think you might be missing how those 2GIG sensors actually work with that kind of heat. Lithium batteries handle high temps way better than people give them credit for, especially if they're rated for it. I've seen alkaline batteries die fast in attics, but the right cells can cruise through a Phoenix summer no problem. Just saying, don't write off the whole wireless world based on old experiences, because this lines up with what I've seen in tough spots too.
