The guy at the Bosque trailhead said my tire pressure was wrong and it fixed my whole ride
Was about to head out on the Bosque trail last Saturday morning when an older guy on a bike stopped me in the lot. He pointed at my rear tire and said it looked soft, then had me squeeze his. Felt like a rock compared to mine. I pumped it up to 60 psi right there with my little frame pump and rode 12 miles without that awful squishy feeling I thought was normal. How do you figure out the right pressure for the dirt sections, just trial and error?
60 psi sounds way better than what I was running. I did the same thing last year on the ditch banks near Corrales, some guy told me to drop mine to 35 for the sandy spots and it was night and day. Trial and error works but asking the old guys at the trailhead is way faster.
