Changed my mind about reading manga before watching the anime adaptation

I used to think it spoiled the show, but reading 'Chainsaw Man' before the anime dropped made the animation hits way more impactful. Anyone else find that with certain series?

Wait you read Chainsaw Man BEFORE the anime? That's wild, I could never. The manga panels are so crazy, I figured seeing it animated first would be the only way to make sense of it. Honestly hearing the sound design and voices for the first time with no clue what was coming was half the fun for me.

Man, I get that completely. The anime's sound design is honestly unreal, especially during the quieter moments. I feel like going in blind with the animation and voices must have been a trip. There's something special about having zero expectations for how a scene will look or sound. I'm almost jealous of that first time watch.
