Heard a guy at the laundromat say subs are better than dubs, then he admitted he only watches on his phone
I was folding scrubs at the laundromat on Tuesday night and two guys next to me got into a full on argument about subbed versus dubbed anime, which I did not expect at 11pm. The loud one kept saying subs are the only real way to watch, very serious about it. Then his friend asked what he was watching lately and he said he binges everything on his phone with the sound off while his kid sleeps. So he is reading subtitles at 2x speed on a cracked screen and telling strangers they are doing anime wrong. I stayed quiet but I wanted to ask him how he keeps up with a show like Mob Psycho when the whole point is the animation and he is watching on a 5 inch screen. Has anyone else run into people with strong opinions who are not even watching the show the same way you are?
