inWarning: tried warming spray cans on the dash of my truck and one blew in my face
Ever try just keeping the cans in your truck cab overnight instead of the bed? Way I do it, I toss them on the floor by the heater vent on the drive to the job, and by the time I need them they spray fine. A cooler with a hot water bottle works too but you gotta swap that water every few hours or it turns into a cold brick. I also keep a couple cans in my jacket pockets against my body, sounds dumb but body heat does the trick for small jobs. Just don't leave them in a hot spot in summer, you already learned that one the hard way.

inMy mailman talked me out of a $60 Facebook Marketplace deal and I'm still thinking about it
Your mailman sounds like a hero honestly. Me? I bought a "like new" dirt bike off a guy who insisted we meet behind a Wendy's at 10pm, and I still handed him $200 cash. Bike lasted about three days before the engine just quit. My brother still brings it up at every family cookout, calls it my Wendy's bike. I keep telling myself I've learned my lesson but last month I almost bought a "gently used" trailer from a dude who wouldn't give me his last name.

inOverheard a guy at the lumber yard say plywood skins don't matter
I used to mark up A1 faces without even thinking about it, just figured that's what you do for shelving. Then a customer picked the cheaper stuff with a few knots and said she liked the character, paid less and was happier. Makes you wonder how much of the "you need A1" thing is us selling ourselves on it.
