I finally met a neighbor who nearly ruined her countertop bin with meat scraps
Ran into a woman named Carol in the elevator of my building last Thursday. She told me she'd been tossing leftover chicken bones into her Bokashi bucket for two weeks straight. The smell got so bad her roommate almost threw the whole thing out. I had to explain that meat and dairy don't break down the same way in apartment setups. Has anyone else had to convince a newbie to stick with veggie scraps only?

Tbh I read that bokashi is supposed to handle meat if you bury it deep enough.

My buddy swears by bokashi buckets for his whole raw diet dog's waste and said the meat scraps vanish in 2 weeks underground. He digs a foot deep and just rotates spots.
