Showerthought: my countertop bin went from a smelly mess to zero odor after one small change
Two years ago I was using a sealed plastic tub and dumping it twice a week, and it still reeked every time I opened it. Then I drilled a ring of 1/4 inch holes in the lid and added a layer of shredded browns on top after every scrap drop, and 6 months later my kitchen in Cleveland has basically no smell at all. Anyone else find that airflow plus browns beats every carbon filter they sell?

Totally found the same thing, holes in the lid changed everything.
