Checked out a repair shop in Phoenix last week

Stopped by a place called Appliance Rescue out in Phoenix. They had a whole wall of salvaged control boards from 2010 era washers, labeled by model. I snagged one for a tricky LG error code problem I've been fighting. Anyone else got a local spot that keeps old stock like that?

Three boards from online sellers before one worked? Man that sounds about right. I swear those eBay and Amazon sellers just pull them out of the same junk pile and slap a "tested" sticker on them. The guy at Appliance Rescue actually let me plug the board into a test rig right there in the shop before buying it. No returns or guarantees on salvage stuff though. Guess you get what you pay for when it's been living on a dusty shelf next to a pile of broken dryer drums.

That LG error code issue sounds familiar. My neighbor had one that kept flashing a drain error on an older model and we went through three different board replacements from online sellers before finding one that actually worked. Did the salvage board you picked up come with any kind of testing guarantee or did you just have to take a chance on it?

Nah for real @hall.nora, most salvage places just say "tested working" with like a 30 day return window. The real trick nobody talks about is finding boards from dehumidifier units instead of washer dryer combos - way less stress on the components so they actually hold up better.
